A Dobsonville pastor is currently behind bars after he was traced and arrested for rape and kidnapping in Krugersdorp North.
According to Krugersdorp SAPS spokesperson Constable Tshepiso Mashale, police received a complaint regarding the kidnapping of a 19-year-old female on Sunday 20 October.
“It was stated that the woman was being kept at a Krugersdorp place of prayer,” she says.
Tracking down the premises, police proceeded to investigate and found the 19-year-old woman.
“She told police that her pastor had been keeping her against her will for a month during which he confiscated her cellphone and raped her repeatedly.”
It is alleged that the pastor lured her to the room by inviting her to pray with him.
He is set to appear in court soon.
