Thembisa influencer seeks votes for Great Times Magazine Awards 2023

"I hit 4 000 views in four days and that's when I realised I had something to offer the world."

Local social media entertainer and TikTok influencer would like to rally votes for his nomination by the Great Times Magazine Awards 2023.

Vusi Reshumela Qwabe from Endulwini, Thembisa said he has only been part of the TikTok community for two years.

“I saw my video get many likes quickly. I hit 4 000 views in four days and that’s when I realised I had something to offer the world.

“One of the videos that motivated me to continue was one where I was dancing with my mom on her birthday,” said Reshumela.

He said being a TikTok influencer gains people’s recognition for their talents and allows them to grow their audience.

“When I do something, I make sure people laugh. I am also an artist and designer.

“Being an influencer makes people follow you. When you do something people follow your example and in a matter of days you could be viral,” he said.

The entertainer is also an entrepreneur who makes his line of branded clothing.

“The brand name is called Yooh Kwenzakalani, which translated means ‘What is happening?’

“In everything I see, I ask myself what is happening, so I decided to instil that trait to be observant in my brand.

“I also hoped the name would also draw attention to what I do on TikTok.”

Vusi has been nominated for the Best TikTok Influencer Award for Great Times Magazine 2023.

“People can help me by voting so that I can bring the award back home to Thembisa.”
