The Express met with him on World DJ Day, March 9, and spoke to him about his career as an entertainer.
Initially, Bradley was not interested in playing the decks.

He started as a sound technician and sound engineer and only pursued DJing in 2021.

Bradley said his passion is to move people while connecting with them. The Express caught up with him on World DJ Day, March 9.

“When I was a sound engineer learning how to mix songs, I found it not that difficult. I enjoy being behind the decks and playing music for people.

That is my passion and love. Wherever I went, there was always an element of music.

“That is what drew me to being a DJ. It was the memories made behind the decks while having fun and enjoying other people’s company,” said Bradley.

He said he chose to play Afro-house and Afro-tech because it is an international genre.

“Almost everyone in the world likes Afro-tech and Afro-house.

“I feel as if it is a manifestation that one day, I will play for people in the UK, Ibiza and the like, just like some of my role models did. Maybe it is my dream slowly unfolding.

“The thing about Afro-tech and Afro-house is that they have some electro elements in the sound.

“Every time I listen to new music, I discover new, unique sounds and playing for people is all about connecting with their energy and mood.

“This influence comes from artists like Shimza, and Da Capo, who are my role models, and Malumz On Decks and Supta, to name a few.”

The disk jockey has played at prominent venues in Kempton Park and Thembisa, including DJ Shimza’s The Hang Awt, Cafe 1632, The Weekend, Jubilee Eshisanyama, Zero11 Lifestyle, Zone 6 and Perere in Soweto.

He said he hopes to make an impact on the music industry with his mentor, events co-ordinator Siga Lemonster.

“Being an upcoming DJ is hard because you come across challenges which you have to battle, but that does not deter me because my goal is to become a household brand. I see myself playing at big events and on radio stations like Metro FM and YFM.”
