Caxton Radio now hosts Drive show

The Autodealer team visited the studio recently and co-hosted their very first Drive show.

Caxton Radio hosts a variety of entertaining and informative shows talking about sport, business, current affairs, community success stories, local profiles, finances and more. The live online radio show is available on 11 Caxton local news websites including Germiston City News, Benoni City Times and Kempton Express. “Within the first 13 to 14 days of the launch on 1 March 2018, we had about 98 000 streamers,” said Caxton Radio station manager Paul Rotherham.

Recently the studios relocated to Emperors Palace and have been making headway increasing its listenership to an average of 500 000 a month. “We are excited about the venture that we’ve entered into with Caxton Radio,” said Clive Tavener, Emperors Palace operations executive. On 3 October the Autodealer editorial team took hold of the microphones to add motoring to the expanding list of shows.

In the session, Sean Nurse – Editor, Justin Jacobs – Motoring Journalist and Web Manager, Ryno Fourie, joined Laurette Morgan in the studio to talk about all things cars. On topic was the recently launched Audi A1, Peugeot 5008 and 108, the impending introduction of the fully electric Volvo XC40.

Justin and Sean spoke about their impressions of the Toyota Supra while Ryno commented on his experience in the BMW Z4 M40i. The conversation soon went off-road talking about the Toyota Hilux Legend 50 and GR Sport derivatives before the team jumped into the Russian Grand Prix. The Autodealer team will return every Thursday in between 10 am and 12 pm to get the listeners updated on the latest car news.
