Kempton Park Cricket Club rake up the weekend wins

Kempton Park Cricket Club chairperson IG Spies fulfilled his promise to shave off his beard on Saturday when the club’s premier side won the local T20 tournament.

In other cricket action over the weekend, KPCC’s U14 Impala team faced Benoni Northerns away and beat their rivals by 125 runs.

In the senior league, the Kempton Directors played against Springs Old Boys and won by 400 runs. Keyan de Klerk scored 125 and André Lombard followed suit with 96 runs.

In the executives league, Kempton A faced Kempton B. Don Mackay hit 64 off 291 and Martin Willima took four wickets for Kempton A to defeat Kempton B.

In the Charmain’s League, Benoni beat Kempton by eight wickets.
