Kempton Park FC aims for victory

Kempton Park FC dominated the game from start to finish and walked away with a 9-1 victory.

On June 24, Kempton Park FC (League 1) took on Benoni Northerns (League 3) in the first round of the Easterns League U12 knock-out cup.

This competition sees different tiers of the league compete against each other.

Some of the parents came to support their children.

Kempton Park FC dominated the game from start to finish and walked away with a 9-1 victory.

The game went to halftime with Kempton Park FC leading 5-0.

The referee was Themba Mphahlele, who spoke about the league’s aims.

“We are grooming these youngsters to become professionals.

“This is why things like showboating are not allowed in the league because is very disrespectful to the opponents,” he said.

Lwandle Khumalo walked away as the man of the match. He dominated the midfield and dictated the game.

Benoni Northerns defended a wave of attacks from Kempton Park FC.

Kempton Park FC progressed to the next round of the competition and will wait for other fixtures to end to find out who their next opponent will be.
