Annual soccer, netball festival at Norkem Primary this weekend

Very few children get to play professional sport and this is a great opportunity for them to feel like superstars.

The annual Norkem Park Primary School soccer and netball festival will take place at the school from Friday to Sunday.

This festival has been running for 17 years and began in 2002 with only seven soccer and seven netball teams. The festival now caters for 18 soccer and 16 netball teams.

Many of the learners that attend this festival are from disadvantaged backgrounds. The mission of this festival is to give children from all backgrounds an opportunity to play in a professional and well organised environment.
