A local ju jitsu dojo, Taba Hatchi Jikishin Ju Jitsu Kempton Park, had the privilege of performing in front of super star Arnold Schwarzeneger.
This took place at the inaugural Arnold Schwarzeneger Classic Africa multi-sport event, at the Sandton Convention Centre, at the end of May.Sensei Paul Sheasby said he and his team received a gold medal for their team ju jitsu demo in front of Schwarzeneger.
The individual results were:
Sifiso Mongwe (orange belt): gold random attack, silver grappling.
Hellen Shawa (brown belt): gold grappling.
Nikita Appelman (orange belt): silver random attack.
Albert Appelman (green belt): bronze random attack.
Timothy Clark (brown belt): silver random attack.
Sensei Paul Clarke (black belt third Dan): bronze random attack.
Sensei Paul Sheasby (black belt fifth Dan): bronze random attack.
Bella Appelman (brown belt): silver random attack.
