Resident praises Festival Mall security for finding his laptop

‘I would like to thank Festival mall security and the police that went the extra mile to get my belongings back’

KOOS VAN DER VYFER writes:

I want to commend two different sectors for something that happened to me.

On August 24 my car got broken into and my laptop was stolen at Festival Mall.

I laid a complaint with mall security and then went to the police to open a case.

A week later Festival Mall security contacted me and told me the perpetrator was caught by them and that he was held in the mall’s cell.

I went to the security office and phoned the constable from the police to meet me there. They arrested the person but first, he showed them to whom he sold my laptop to.

Later that day, the police phoned to inform me that they found two laptops with a Nigerian. The suspect sold the laptops.

To make a long story short, I got my laptop back and the perpetrator was put behind bars.

I would like to thank Festival mall security and the police that went the extra mile to get my belongings back. It gives new hope in a country overrun by criminals.
