Dad looks for old hospital records

I was quite shocked to read that Kempton Park Hospital was abandoned about 20 years ago.

My son was born there in June 1981 and I was hoping to ask the hospital to look in their archives to see if they could find the record of his birth.

For some strange reason, my son is keen to find out what time he was born and this would have been recorded by the hospital.

If the hospital was abandoned, were the records just left behind? Are they still there? Were the records taken to some state archive?

Is it possible that someone can find out what happened and if there is any chance I can get a “record of birth” from June 1981?
