Removal of slipways are frustrating

'To me it is a matter of going backwards, big time'

The municipality has closed off the once very efficient slipways at the intersection of Green Avenue and Isando Road in Spartan.

Now we all have to sit in peak traffic, very frustrated, to turn at the traffic lights.

I fail to see how this decision is in the interest of road users. To me it is a matter of going backwards, big time.

But yet, the mayor insists that he and his office are working to improve services to the people. Perhaps he can explain this move to us, who have to use this intersection on a daily basis.

I only see it as a quick opportunity for some short term job creation to make their employment numbers look good.
