'It is great to have lights that work properly again'

It’s not very often we are able to give a compliment for services given by Ekurhuleni, therefore my letter to do just this.
I live in a small extension of Birch Acres and have been battling for months to get our street lights, which weren’t working, properly fixed. After lodging a complaint on e-Siyakhokha a few weeks ago, I got call from Dawie who works in the energy department in Kempton Park.
He queried what the problem was with the lights and advised he would need to investigate, which might take a while.
My first thought was here we go, nothing is going to happen. How wrong I was.
He kept me updated daily on the progress of their investigations. The lights that were broken and not working at all, were fixed within a day and the lights that were not working properly, were fixed within a few days.
He sent me a mail asking if the lights were working and explained what was wrong when the lights weren’t working properly.
It’s great to have lights that work properly again.
