Sad clown raises concerns about non-voters

My voice (vote) prevents majority, my voice opposes oppression, my voice fights for my rights

CLUMZE EDDIE THE CLOWN writes:

Since the day I turned 18 I have made my mark every time elections came around.

Although the debate has crossed my mind several times to what the point is, when I know my vote will be outnumbered, yet I make my mark knowing one voice counts just as much as 10 others.

My voice (vote) prevents majority, my voice opposes oppression, my voice fights for my right. Yet I have seen hundreds choosing to remain silent.

This saddens me, that many choose to remain silent, refuse to secure the future for their children, refuse to fight oppression and their own rights. Yet many will use the day given to exercise their right to rather queue for shop promotions when the day was set aside to make a difference.

It took me less than two hours to make my mark, now knowing I did my part, not only for my children but for my community and their children.

My only hope is my voice was loud enough to be heard together with those who chose to use their voices with me. By the time this letter is published your chance to make your voice heard will be over and because you chose to remain silent, I will have to ask that you remain so. I, on the other hand, have made my mark and now have the right to make a noise to be heard and uphold my opinions.

In conclusion, when the time comes again when you have the opportunity to make your mark, please join me in the choir of voices that want our legacies to remain a secure future.
