NOTICE OF A RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR AN ATMOSPHERIC EMISSION LICENCE (AEL) FOR VIKING FOUNDRY (PTY) LTD SITUATED WITHIN THE CITY OF EKURHULENI
(AEL NUMBER: 14/1/1/7/4/66/VICKING/ALB) Notice is, hereby, given in terms of Section 38(3) (a) and (b) of the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act (Act No. 39 of 2004) (NEM: AQA), as amended, of an invitation to register comments with regards to a renewal application for an Atmospheric Emission Licence (AEL), in terms of Section 47 (1) of the NEM: AQA, as amended, for Viking Foundry (Pty) Ltd.
NATURE OF APPLICATION:
The application for an AEL Renewal is being made in terms of Section 21 of the NEM: AQA, read with GNR 893 of 22 November 2013, as amended, in respect of the following listed activities:
CATEGORY 4: METALLURGICAL INDUSTRY, SUB-CATEGORY 4.4: SECONDARY ALUMINIUM PRODUCTION, SUB-CATEGORY 4.10: FOUNDRIES, AND SUB-CATEGORY 4.19: PRODUCTION AND/OR CASTING OF BRONZE, BRASS AND COPPER.
The site is situated at 1 van Lingen Street, Germiston, Gauteng and falls under the jurisdiction of the City of Ekurhuleni.
