Norkerm Park learners give back

The school believes in motivating learners to care for each other and especially, the underprivileged.

Each year learners from Norkem Park Primary School embark on a community drive and this year personal care kit items were collected.

A total of 4 540 items were collected and distributed to the underprivileged children. Keabetswe Shaba collected the most items for the school and Owam Ndebele came in second place.

The school believes in motivating learners to care for each other and especially, the underprivileged.

This also serves as a way of teaching learners to have compassion and love for others.

Each personal care package included toothpaste, a toothbrush, pocket tissues, a face cloth, soap and roll–on deodorant.

The specially packed personal care kit packages were distributed to John Wesley Child Care Centre, Tembisa Child and Family Welfare, Kruisweg Gemeente, Little Eden Society, Avril Elizabeth Home, Casa Caritas, Epworth Children’s Village, Child Welfare SA Edenvale, Child Welfare SA Kempton Park, Rynpark 4 Snyman Home, Raad Vir Bejaarders Kempton Park, Herfsland Old Age Home and Villa Le Themba Kinderhuis.
