Local beauty shines at Toddler and Tween of the World 2024

Bryant won the 10-11 years category and was awarded first runner-up for her ballet piece in the talent section.

Local youngster Gabriella Bryant recently participated in the Toddler and Tween of the World (TTW) pageant and won big.

Held from September 26 to 28, the event delighted participants and audiences with its vibrant Carnival theme.

Over three exciting days, 120 girls from across SA, Botswana and Namibia showcased their talent, creativity, and style in categories such as haute couture, top model, and talent, to name a few.

Bryant won the 10-11 years category and earned first runner-up for her ballet piece in the talent section.

“It was tough competing against 19 strong contestants, but I prepared well and am grateful to God for His favour and my coach and parents for their diligence,” Bryant said.

The Grade Four Maranatha Christian School learner won big at the crowning at the gala evening on September 28 in Klerksdorp, North West.

Bryant has done modelling and pageantry since the tender age of one and has an affiliation with the SA All Stars Model Academy’s Deon and Mariette Krause.

Bonita van der Westhuizen founded TTW in 2013. It has grown into one of the most beloved pageants in the SA pageant community.

Over the years, the competition expanded to include participants from neighbouring countries like Botswana and Namibia.

TTW has remained committed to providing a supportive platform for young children and tweens to build confidence, develop their talents and create lasting memories.

“Each year is an incredible experience. Witnessing the return of these young girls year after year, seeing their personal growth, and observing the impact they make within their communities is truly remarkable,” said Van der Westhuizen, also the owner and director of TTW.

This year’s event was known for offering a competitive edge and a fun and inclusive experience, which saw participants engage in various interactive activities designed to foster friendships and build confidence.

With its live performances and spectacular crowning, the gala night provided a fitting end to the festivities.

The winners in several categories will now have the chance to represent their region by competing at the Ultimate International Miss competition in the USA next year, taking their talent to an even larger stage.

“As TTW continues to grow, plans are already underway for an even more magical experience at TTW 2025, scheduled for October 9 to 11, 2025, with the theme of Disney. Participants and attendees can expect more surprises, fun-filled activities and new categories as the pageant evolves,” said Van der Westhuizen.
