Top cop strives for a crime-free Kempton Park

Four suspects were arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and 21 others were arrested for being undocumented persons.

Kempton Park SAPS station commander Brigadier Lindani Ndlovu and his team held a high-density operation in Kempton Park on September 13.

The station’s spokesperson, Sergeant Dipuo Ditshego, said officers arrested five suspects for possession of illegal substances suspected to be drugs during the operation.

The Kempton Park SAPS was joined by other stakeholders to combat crime in Kempton Park.

“Four suspects were arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and 21 suspects for being undocumented persons. All exhibits were booked in the SAP13.”

Ndlovu thanked everyone who ensured law and order was maintained in Kempton Park.

Ditshego said during the parade, the brigadier quoted from the SAPS code of conduct, stating, “The conduct outlines the values and principles all SAPS members are expected to uphold, including integrity, professionalism, accountability and respect for human rights,” said Ndlovu.

“We will do these operations regularly in Kempton Park,” he said.
