Kempton Park commander leads fun walk for Casual Day

Casual Day which is celebrated yearly in an awareness and fundraising campaign benefiting persons with disabilities which was launched during the year 1994.

Kempton Park SAPS support commander Colonel Motsatsi Lesomo recently led a fun walk from the Kempton Park Police Station to Glen Acres Shopping Centre Virgin Active to raise awareness for Casual Day.

She was joined by various police commanders under her supervision.

On arrival at Virgin Active, officers participated in self defence training and aerobics sessions.

Lesomo emphasised the importance of prioritising health and wellness, encouraging members to take care of themselves.

The walk was part of the annual Casual Day awareness and fundraising campaign, which benefits persons with disabilities.

Casual Day was launched in 1994, and is celebrated nationwide.

SAPS members showed their support by purchasing stickers and participating in visibility walks.

Lesomo said she was grateful to the officers who took the time and effort to participate in the awareness campaign, which also contributed to crime prevention efforts.
