Besides having the opportunity to shop for handmade crafts, delicious food, and other unique items, attendees will have the opportunity to watch DJ Spaz (Shawn Arde) take to the stage.

Shawn, an Edenvale resident, was born with cerebral palsy and relies on a wheelchair for mobility.

Despite the challenges he faces, Shawn has always had a deep passion for music.

This motivated him to overcome obstacles and pursue his dream of becoming a DJ.

From an early age Shawn found joy in music, collecting over 1 000 CDs over the years. Each month, he would save up his allowance to buy new albums, relishing every visit to the local music shops.

Shawn’s love for music led him to spend six years mastering the art of DJing, performing at local events in Mondeor and later at Brazen Head in Edenvale.

In 2018, Shawn’s Christmas wish came true when Heart FM gifted him with professional DJ equipment, including speakers, lights, and a mixer.

Music has always been more than just a hobby for Shawn; it’s a source of healing and inspiration.

Whether he’s in a bad mood or simply needs to uplift himself, music is always there to bring joy to his life.

At 48 years old, Shawn continues to entertain and spread positivity through his music, and he is committed to doing so for as long as he can.
