Between August 20 and August 25, Benoni Flying Squad members arrested eight suspects and recovered one motor vehicle.
Eight suspects, aged 22 to 43, were arrested for possession of drugs at Daveyton Hostel, North Rand and Voortrekker roads in Kempton Park, Station Road in Brakpan, Lurie Road in Mayfield and in Madela Kufa and Khatamping sections in Thembisa.

Nyaope, rocks and cat (cocaine), crystal methamphetamine and Mandrax were recovered in these separate incidents.
In further policing, one abandoned hijacked vehicle, a silver Suzuki Ertiga, was recovered at the intersection of Peter and Freeman streets in Kempton Park, reported hijacked on a Norkem Park case.
Investigations continue.
The suspects will be appearing in the local magistrate’s courts facing charges of possession of drugs.
