Community gathers to remember Emmanuel Makwiting

Community members joined friends and team mates of Emmanuel Makwiting at Hoërskool Jeugland this afternoon, July 19 for a remembrance ceremony.

Emmanuel tragically died on July 15 after sustaining a serious neck injury during a rugby game against Pietersburg High School on July 13.

Paramedics stabilised Emmanuel on the field and he was rushed to hospital.

According to information available to the Kempton Express, Emmanuel suffered a fracture to his neck vertebrae.
