Organisations unite to host an career expo

The event coordinator Thulani Koaha said he and his team have been doing community work for years and formalised their services to cater for more communities.

Thulani Koaha from Izithelo ZeNkosi Foundation partnered with the Apostolic Faith Mission Church, K2M Funeral Services, uBukhosi Print and Engraving and more to host a career expo at the AFM Church in Emfuyayeng on June 8.

The event marked the fifth Career and Entrepreneurship Expo of the year.

With the current socioeconomic challenges many in the country face, the partnership sought to emphasise the importance of self-development, through different stakeholders, institutions of higher learning and influential speakers on the day.

The event coordinator Thulani Koaha said he and his team have been doing community work for years and formalised their services to cater for more communities.

“This event was not a success because I hosted it. It was successful because when we visit a community, the residents get out in their numbers to hear what we offer.

“We are on a journey to formalise everything and ensure we comply with the laws of how NPOs should run.

“This was our fifth event of the year, and we will celebrate with everyone.

“At the start of it all, we were less than 10, but today we are many.

“The goal is not to make money but to render services to the community in Thembisa.

“This initiative will now feature more content and knowledge sharing as we enhance the services we offer through our website, which will be in operation in weeks to come,” added Koaha.
