Smooth running in Kempton Park as voting takes centre stage
The Kempton Express visited Aston Manor Primary School and Laerskool Impala voting stations this morning to chat to voters.
Despite long queues reported at certain voting stations, no major issues have been reported in Kempton Park.
Millions of South Africans have today, May 29, taken to the polls to vote in the 2024 national elections.
The Kempton Express visited the Aston Manor Primary School and Laerskool Impala voting stations to chat to some of the voters about why they are voting.
Voting today at Aston Manor Primary School Bernadette Mckay said she voted for positive change.
“I hope to see transparency in our government, things working and things that are run right.”
At Laerskool Impala, Terence Mahundla said he voted to make a change in South Africa because “it’s the right thing to do.”
Tebatso Sodi said that he has never missed an opportunity to vote and he hopes for economic change in South Africa.
The Kempton Express will monitor all voting stations throughout the day.
