Red Devils Pantsula Junior win R 10 000 in competition

“In the competition, we battled with groups that are already multi-title champions in various competitions. This made us nervous."

The Red Devils Pantsula Junior recently won a dance competition at the Dobsonville Mall.

The competition comprised 15 dance groups that battled it out for the R10 000 main prize.

Red Devils Pantsula was established in 2003 to entertain local and international audiences while giving back to the communities in their hometown, Thembisa.

Red Devils Pantsula Junior was established in 2017 and comprises four members willing to lace up the boots and continue representing the pantsula dance legacy as their seniors have done.

Red Devils Pantsula Junior member Vusi Ubisi said they were victorious despite the challenges they faced during the competition.

“In the competition, we battled with groups that are already multi-title champions in various competitions. This made us nervous.

“We chose to gather enough strength and believe in ourselves, and when it was all done, we were all left speechless because we dominated the competition.

“This win proves that hard work pays off in the end,” he said.

“This year, we want to take our work to bigger stages worldwide. We are planning a live show where we will entertain people and showcase our talent. We want to do what our seniors do – entertain the people of SA,” said Ubisi.
