Thembisa residents gather to pray for the upcoming general elections

Gauteng Premier, Phanyaza Lesufi, who was in attendance shared words of encouragement and positivity about the upcoming elections and how faith can help prevent unwanted interruptions during the elections.

The community of Thembisa gathered at Abundant Life Christian Centre in Maoekeng Section on March 24.

The service focused on praying for the upcoming national elections that will take place on May 29.

Gauteng Province Premier Panyaza Lesufi attended the service.

He shared words of encouragement and positivity about the upcoming elections and how faith can help prevent unwanted interruptions that can hinder the elections from going smoothly.

“I will come back to this church to pray with the members and learn the gospel with them; this is the church close to where I grew up.

“On April 6, we are launching something exclusive for Thembisa residents, and this particular church will be the venue to host the event,” said Lesufi.

“If unemployed people remain permanently unemployed in this country, then it is the end of us as a nation.

“I have a team and regional leadership who share the vision of seeing people receive employment not because of elections but to provide for their families.

Members of the regalia party at the Abundant Life Christian Centre.

“We need to ensure every unemployed person gets an opportunity to fend for themselves.

“Our goal is to have people who can afford and provide for themselves. We are looking to help 500 000 unemployed people receive permanent employment,” said Lesufi.
