Enjoy a delightful stroll at Melville Koppies

Whenever visitors arrive at Melville Koppies, they are often a little anxious about safety.

Some are sceptical that a small nature reserve in the middle of a big city can satisfy their needs while others are quiet and unassuming.

However, when they return to the entrance after completing the 5km hike, or being part of the guided tour, or exploring by themselves or just having some ‘me’ time, they are transformed.

There are bright eyes and smiles all around.

The koppies are open every Sunday morning from 08:00 to 11:30am.

Safe parking is provided opposite the Melville Koppies entrance at Marks Park Sports Club in Judith Road, Emmarentia.

Entry costs R90 for adults and R50 for children under 18.
