The influencer of the year award went to Lungie Sibeko, while entertainer of the year went to Spura Maluda, and Mbalenhle Nene received the award for entrepreneur of the year.

The Thembisa’s photographer of the year award went to Maphale Moloi, while Lurde Kharina was the hairdresser of the year.

The coveted artist of the year award went to Black Child.

Kota spot of the year went to Tembisa Chuff Pozzy, while HangAwt was the lodge of the year.

The event concert of the year award went to Pizza Sunday, and clothing brand of the year to Anti Cool.

The As I Rise (Air) initiative is run by creatives based in Thembisa and was founded to prioritise township development.

Sponsors of the event included ByForce, Infinite Wisdom Tutorial, Kicks Sport Wear, Barely Made, Flacko Promotions, Africa Business Hub and Kenana Catering.

Each winner walked away with a trophy, a certificate, a pair of Kicks shoes and a Barely Made T-shirt.
