New principal appointed for Kempton Panorama School

Kempton Panaroma School now has its first female principal.

Kempton Panorama School has a new principal, and for the first time in the school’s history, it is a woman.

JCE Lombard is the new principal, and the school warmly welcomed her in her new role.

Lombard obtained her teaching qualification from Goudstad Teachers Training College in 1988.

She started her career at AJ Koen School but soon realised her passion was teaching learners with special educational needs (LSEN).

She then accepted a position at Elandspark School in 1989, where she enjoyed making a difference in the lives of the learners.

In 2007, Lombard became the deputy principal at Sunnyridge Primary School.

It was evident Lombard missed her calling, so she accepted the deputy principal position at Kempton Panorama School.

“Highlights of my career at Kempton Panorama School include coaching the netball teams and having many players I coached receive provincial colours,” she said.

She said the curriculum expansion at the school is another highlight for her, with the first Grade 12 class completing matric in 2012.

“Currently, Kempton Panorama School enjoys a 10-year consecutive Grade 12 100% pass rate,” she said.

Lombard is a family-oriented person who enjoys gardening and travelling to new places.

“My vision for the school is to teach learners to become valuable citizens who will positively contribute to South African society,” she said.
