Norkem Park SAPS to host GBVF awareness campaign on December 2

Prominent people and other stakeholders will be present on the day.

Norkem Park Police Station invites residents to a Sisonke against gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) awareness campaign taking place on December 2.

The campaign will be held at Cappello in Birchleigh North. Residents can enjoy a morning workout session of aerobics from 7am.

Sergeant Portia Mkhondo of Norkerm Park SAPS said the purpose of the gathering is to raise awareness in the community about GBVF.

“We want the community to join the police in the fight against gender-based violence.”

Free chest X-ray and screening will be available and residents can also look forward to free family planning and child health clinics.
