BFS recovers four elephant tusks
BFS officers recovered elephant tusks, suspect fled the scene.

Benoni Flying Squad members recovered four elephant tusks on October 20.
At around 17:00, Sergeant Jaco Powell and Constable Juan-Mare Eksteen were patrolling Brakpan next to the rugby stadium when they noticed a man carrying a bag.

On seeing the SAPS vehicle, the person ran into the open field and dropped the bag.

Members recovered the bag and found four elephant tusks inside.
Unfortunately, the suspect managed to escape.
However, a member from the Local Criminal Record Centre visited the scene to gather evidence from the exhibit.
Investigation continues into the origins of the tusks and tracing of the suspect.
