Senior citizens of Ward 91 are invited to a celebration on October 3

The SAPS, SASSA, Social Development and indigent officials attend.

Senior citizens in Ward 91 are invited to attend a morning of honour and celebration on October 3 at 10:00.

The event will be at the Coen Scholtz Community Hall on 12 Mooifontein Road, Birchleigh North.

According to Sebolelo Tlhako, an advocate for the aged and differently-abled community members in the ward, the event will aim for residents to come together.

“I am setting the agenda for my community, and I need to engage elderly people and provide them with activities that will keep them interested and engaged.

“Together with the community at large, we will find common ground in our ward to better explore and execute all projects to keep them active and engaged at all times.”

Tlhako hopes the celebration opens doors to bring senior citizens together.

The Department of Health will render services to the senior citizens needing assistance on the day.

The SAPS, SASSA, Social Development and indigent officials will also attend.

Entertainment by a live band and refreshments will be available.
