Emotional send off for murdered Kempton DJ

Friends and family gather in Jubilee Shisanyama to pay tribute to the talented DJ tragically taken too soon.

Friends, family, and fans of DJ Bongani Mfihlo gathered at a memorial ceremony to mourn his death and celebrate his life on September 8 at Jubilee Shisanyama.

The local DJ, known for his talent on the decks and magnetic personality, was shot and killed on September 2 outside a popular nightclub in Kempton Park.

Authorities were immediately alerted and arrived at the scene.

Mfihlo was declared dead at the scene.

According to the Kempton Park SAPS, two men shot the deceased, who have since handed themselves over to the police.

As news of the shooting spread, an outpouring of grief and disbelief flooded social media platforms.

DJ Bongani, known for his influential lifestyle and electrifying performances, had become a prominent figure in the Kempton Park entertainment scene.

His unique style and ability to connect with the crowd made him a favourite among the community, and his personality became synonymous with unforgettable nights out.

“Bongani had the incredible ability to make everyone feel they were part of something special. His aura connected us, and his infectious smile and personality lit up any room he walked into.”
