As the EMPD officers were about to confiscate the expired beverages, a 19-year-old, who identified himself as the owner’s son, offered police officials R900 in cash to look the other way.
They arrested the son, charged him with bribery and immediately took him to the Kempton Park Police Station.
They booked the expired alcohol at the police station.
The detained suspect will soon appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court.
