Career Day inspires young minds to dream big

The professionals spoke to the children about their careers and advised them on what was needed.

Blessed Hope Academy in the Kempton Park CBD hosted its career day on August 4.

All the learners arrived at the school dressed in uniforms representing their potential careers.

Hartlyn Sibanda, Grade Four, dreams of being a journalist.

The primary school invited people from various professions, including paramedics, a tailor and a journalist from Kempton Express.

The professionals spoke to the children about their careers and advised them on what was needed.

This annual event reinforced the school’s vision to empower and inspire learners to have a meaningful impact on the world.

Career Day allows learners to explore various careers and gain insights into different industries.

Principal Silence Njanji spoke to Kempton Express.

“To all the learners at Blessed Hope Academy, this is an opportunity to explore the possibilities ahead of you.

From technology to arts, healthcare to entrepreneurship, the world is an oyster for the learners,” he said.

Njanji said learners must remember the journey of a thousand careers began with a single step.

“Embrace the opportunities, challenge the norms and dare to dream big. Your future is waiting, and today is just the beginning,” he said.
