Dance competition held in Thembisa

The dancing competition featured the best moves from local dancers.

The Tembisa Community Forum (TCF) and Lumos jointly hosted the #Abojaivane dancing competition on November 19 at the Makhulong sector to allow local dancers an opportunity to show off their skills.

People who impressed the judges and audience won a variety of rewards, including money, food, and clothing.
TCF spokesperson, Xolani Mnisi, stated the community needed something to lift its spirits after experiencing the worst strikes against service delivery.

“The town has experienced the most hardship this year, so we believed the youth dancing competition would benefit the community.

“Many people take pleasure in the sense of rivalry, whether it is in real life or on stage. Dance competitions can be enjoyable and you can always learn something whether you win or lose.

“Dance competitions can aid in the development of essential abilities that a dancer will benefit from long after the competitions are over.

Mnisi also claims a large number of people from the neighbourhood attended the dancing competition to both participate in and watch.
