A 21-year-old woman's naked and abandoned body was discovered in a bush in Moriting Tembisa.

In Moriting Tembisa, a naked and abandoned body of a 21-year-old woman was found in a bush.
The body was found on January 1 at around 17:00 when Tembisa SAPS officers were passing Moriting Primary School on Reverent Namane Drive. They were flagged down by community members who took them to the spot where the body was found.
Ekurhuleni District police commissioner Major General Anna Sithole stated that the woman’s body was covered in slash wounds. Her clothes were discovered close by.
“The paramedics who were called out declared her dead. The body was identified by family members, including the woman’s father.
“The deceased was taken to Germiston Mortuary. A case of murder was opened and an investigation is currently underway,” said Sithole.
The commissioner thanked the community for alerting the police.
