The Ekurhuleni District’s Crime Intelligence Unit followed up and verified information regarding the sale of drugs.

This is according to Captain Ben Matimulane, the Ivory Park SAPS communications officer.

“Along with members of the Ivory Park SAPS, the drugs were seized as well as money suspected to have come from the sale of drugs.

“The drugs found at the address were crystal meth, double star (commonly known as goof on the streets), and dagga. The drugs had a combined value of just above R15 000,” said Matimulane.

Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, the station commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, congratulated the officers for the arrest.

“We need more positive information about crime as it is now crystal clear that the police alone cannot get rid of criminals by themselves.

“We need the assistance from the community,” said Ngcobo.
