Kempton Park’s Jade crowned in SterStatus

On the night, SterStatus 2021 winner, Larissa Bester, handed over her title and reign to Jade who will now lead the platform to empower the 2023 contestants.

Kempton Park youth pastor Jade Farrell was crowned SterStatus winner at the Velmore Hotel and Spa in Pretoria on October 22.

On the night, SterStatus 2021 winner Larissa Bester handed over her title and reign to Jade who will now lead the platform to empower the 2023 contestants.

“What an honour to be presented with the winning title. This has been such a journey of growth. I’m glad to have walked it alongside such amazing women throughout this season,” said Jade.

“This title represents a rekindling of dreams and passions that I had put away for quite some time and am now pursuing full steam ahead.

“I am over the moon to be presenting season five and I urge all women from all walks of life that have had an interest in the television and film industry to take part next year.”

Michelle van der Nest was presented with a silver award as the first princess who will stand in for the winner where necessary, while Engela Jacobs emerged as the bronze princess.

Primrose Irwin, an entrepreneur from Randpark Ridge, was crowned as the first English winner for SterStatus and will present SterStatus alongside Jade.

A bilingual SterStatus is in fruition and will now open the doors drastically and provide a broader opportunity for many more young women across South Africa.

“I am highly honoured to be the first presenter for the English platform. I have always had a passion to help and inspire others, especially younger women.

“Sterstatus has finally given me the opportunity to pave the way for women like me,” said Primrose.

Standing tall alongside Primrose was second-placed Sibonelo Selematsela with Tanusha Naidoo crowned as third.

SterStatus is the first of its kind on South African soil, with an emphatic focus on introducing young women (millennials) to the entertainment industry through workshops, training sessions and various challenges to prepare them for a successful life in the spotlight.

The winner of the series will also present the next season of Sterstatus.

As a platform that places social impact and charity as a priority, an emphasis is also placed on the 2022 Charity Winner who was announced to be Leigh-Ann Fourie.

Leigh-Ann is a medical representative from Pretoria and walked away with the charity title.

She will also be co-presenting the 2023 season and will spend the next year empowering people through various charity events through the Fabulous Girl Foundation.

“I can’t begin to express my absolute joy at having received this honour. I always knew God had a plan for my life to help others.

I believe winning this title is another step closer to being able to make a difference, however big or small in this world,” said Leigh-Ann.

Karin Muller and Lizelle Raulstone looked dazzling as they were named second and third princesses respectively in this category.

As the winner, Farrell walked away with a Go brown Studio worth R20 000 to empower her to open her own business.

The title holders of this year’s competition get spoiled with prizes from Go Brown, Nanacoco professional make-up, Slim21, Annique, R&R Resorts, permanent make-up and treatments from SL Lasers, hair extensions from Gold Mane and so much more.
