“The female driver of the car happened to be the girlfriend of the late owner of one of the car washes in Ethafeni Section, Thembisa.

“Three firearms were found inside the car, consisting of two black pistols and one silver – all with the serial numbers filed off.”

Tsotsotso added the woman said she had given another firearm to be sold to the second suspect.

“The third suspect was asked to return the firearm after he was contacted.

“Before returning the handgun, he asked the seller for a refund.

“The third suspect requested his girlfriend to give the pistol to the vendor at the carwash after reimbursement was sent using the cellphone app,” she said.
