With the semi-final play-off positions in the mind of both first teams, the Sasolburg Cobras were on the field in full force, bringing all the toughness they are known for and enjoyed getting revenge for their previous loss against the Wolwe.

It’s back to the drawing board for the Wolwe first team and coaches this week to make sure that they are geared and ready to face the next challenge.

The Cobra’s dominated the game upfront, but nevertheless, the Wolwe back line showed their magic, with all three Wolwe tries scored by the backs.

First team ties were scored by Tyrone Coetzee, Gerson Helder and Sibakeng Ncube. Jayden Boshoff racked up one conversion and one penalty.

The Kempton Wolwe second team managed to hold off a tough onslaught from the visiting Cobra’s to win 29-5.

The Wolwe played a well-structured game and showcased great teamwork and individualism to score some great tries.

Arny Engelbrecht scored two tries while Stephan Venter, Sipho Baleka and LC Karsten each bagged one try. Ruan Botha converted two.
