Following their win in May, Cheree Simpson (33) and Alana Jackson (32) have been invited to represent South Africa, alongside nine other athletes, at the World Pole and Aerial Championships to be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, in October.
Jackson and Simpson are from the Phenomena Aerial Dance and Fitness Studio in Glen Marais and have been training together for a little over a year.
This is a dream come true for the duo and they are excited to compete alongside other international athletes and make their supporters proud.
The pair has started fundraising for the trip by hosting dance, fitness and aerial workshops around the East Rand as well as a BackaBuddy campaign.

An amount of R80 000 is needed for them to realise their dream of representing South Africa in Switzerland and thus appeal to the community for assistance.
