Rabie Ridge SAPS raises awareness about crime

As a vital element of current police operations, Rabie Ridge SAPS are creating novel tactics to reduce crime and social unrest.

Police had an engagement with the community regarding their safety.

Rabie Ridge SAPS social crime prevention, communication officers and the community filled the streets as part of a crime awareness campaign on June 10.

According to Rabie Ridge Police Station spokesman Sergeant Dipolelo Moremi, the community was made aware of the consequences of harbouring criminals and failing to report suspicious activities in the area.

“They were also told that acting as an informer can benefit both parties, as the informer receives something in exchange for providing favourable information to the police.

“The campaign was well-received by the residents,” said Moremi.
