This came after the driver received a pick-up request from someone in Phomolong at 20:30 on the same day.

Rabie Ridge SAPS spokesperson Sgt Dipolelo Moremi said on arrival, the driver found two men who then asked the driver to take them to Klipfontein View.

The men then requested a third client be picked up.

According to Moremi, the victim was held at gunpoint by the third assailant immediately after getting into the car, while the other two switched off the vehicle and tied him up.

“They dropped him off at the Klipfontein dumpsite, where he was assisted by security. He called his family, who met him at the Rabie Ridge Police Station,” Moremi said.

Information related to the incident can be reported to 08600 10111 or SMS 32211.
