Motorists are advised to avoid Voortrekker Road off-ramp near the Shoprite Jan Smuts in Kempton Park CBD.

This is due to an overturned fuel tanker on the road. The cause of the tanker overturning is unknown at this stage but the driver and crew member sustained minor injuries and are being transported to hospital.
It is reported that the tanker was travelling with 80 000litres of petrol when it overturned and the fuel was leaking into a nearby drain. The fuel leak is being diverted away from the drain while efforts are being done to stop the leak.
Pedestrians are also advised to avoid the area for safety reasons. Traffic is also affected with major delays on nearby roads.
