Glen Marais man found dead, woman fighting for her life – Kempton SAPS

“The man was found with his mouth wrapped with plastic. There was a lot of blood inside the house and it was ransacked.”

A man was found dead in his home in Glen Marais on Monday morning and a woman, believed to be the deceased’s wife, is fighting for her life in hospital.

This was confirmed by Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS, who said both were found in their Glen Erasmia Boulevard home.

“The woman was barely conscious. The man was found with his mouth wrapped with plastic. He was declared dead on the scene, while the woman had a gaping wound to the head,” Mtshali said.

“It is unclear what exactly happened. Details surrounding this case are sketchy. However, police are investigating house robbery and murder,” added Mtshali.

“There was a lot of blood inside the house and it was ransacked.”

Glen Erasmia Boulevard estate told Express, on Monday afternoon, that it will not comment on the matter as police investigations are underway.

“The estate’s chairperson will issue a statement at a later stage.”
