Kempton Child Protection Hotline hosts bullying, child safety talk at Con Amore

Praesidium Securitas with the help of the Crusaders Motorcycle Club made noise to the delight of the children.

Kempton Park Child Protection Hotline visited Con Amore School in Esther Park on Friday morning to talk about bullying and child safety.

The group was joined by Top Score, Marx Attorneys, Counselling by Chevaune and Praesidium Securitas.
A presentation was held by Danie Van Loggerenberg from Kempton Park Child Protection Hotline and Loki Duvenhage from Praesidium Securitas to create awareness about child safety and bullying in schools.

Van Loggerenberg has 11 years of experience dealing with the issues around child safety and bullying.
He also shared some tips with the children on staying safe and standing up against bullies.

“67% of children in Kempton Park have been bullied or have a problem with bullies. As for child safety, Kempton Park is sitting with a high number of abductions yearly,” said Van Loggerenberg.
Counselling by Chevaune, Marx Attorneys and Praesidium Securitas offered their services for any learner that might need it.

After the presentation, each child was treated to a pack of Top Score Instant Porridge.
