You can now pay your municipal bills at selected retail stores

The City’s online payment service, Siyakhokha, is now available at retail stores.

The City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) announced that residents can now pay outstanding municipal bills at selected retail stores.

Acting spokesperson of CoE Zweli Dlamini said the City’s online payment service, Siyakhokha, is now available in retail stores.

“Residents can conveniently pay their municipal services at the till when they do their grocery shopping.

“For the convenience of our customers, municipal accounts can be paid at major retailers, such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, SPAR, Pep, Ackerman’s, Boxer, Makro and Builders Warehouse.”

Dlamini added the retail services complement the already existing convenient online Siyakhokha payment system that enables

customers to view and pay their accounts online by registering here

“The City of Ekurhuleni encouraged all ratepayers to ensure that municipal accounts are up to date to avoid disconnection of services.

“Credit-control measures are done throughout the year and payment arrangements can be made at local customer care centres for accounts in arrears.”

He added that pensioners and unemployed residents are encouraged to register on the City’s Indigent Management Database.
