Law enforcers launch operation to fight crime

Kempton Park SAPS conducted a crime prevention operation over the weekend. The multi-disciplinary operation known as High Density held on Saturday evening was a joint operation with other law enforcement agencies in

Kempton Park to create a safe and secure environment during level three lockdown. The operations kicked off with multi-disciplinary roadblocks on Central Avenue and Pretoria Road, where vehicles were stopped and searched.
During the operation, two suspects were arrested for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle, which was reported stolen in Katlehong in June 2018.

According to Sgt Dipuo Ditshego, the spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS, the operation also led to the arrest of a suspect for contravention of the Disaster Management Act.

“We are implementing new techniques in trying to fight crime. Addressing crime through operations or close inspection is the best crime-control strategy. “It helps to prevent crime in an effective way,” said Ditshego.

The acting station commander, Col Lesetja Manewa, applauded the members for their hard work and dedication.
