Woman celebrates birthday by giving back

"Being able to put a smile on another person's face because of the good deeds one does is a good feeling."

Boitumelo Mashigo Founder of Wretched Woman’s Diary Sindiswa Mabindisa from Thembisa celebrated her 28th birthday by donating essential care packages to people on July 11.

“I wanted to give back to back on my birthday. Instead of going out to celebrate, I decided that there are people who are living with physical disabilities and mental conditions and wanted to help,” said Mabindisa.

Mabindisa added that her birthday was important to her and knowing that she was able to give back meant everything to her.

She also gives food parcels to the needy.

The founder of Wretched Woman’s Diary said that lending a helping hand to those who are in need have always been something she wanted to do.

“Being able to put a smile on another person’s face because of the good deeds one does is a good feeling. My organisation was established for the purpose of doing just that – giving back,” said Mabindisa.

Sindiswa Mabindisa celebrated her 28th birthday by donating essential care packages to people in need.

She said that her 28th birthday has been the best thus far.

She also added that she doesn’t plan to stop giving back.

Mabindisa furthermore explained that her organisation focuses on women.

“We reach out to women who feel lost and are hurting in her community.”

She explained her organisation is based in Thembisa and was established in 2017.

Mabindisa said that she plans to expand it to the whole country.

She donated packages that consisted of Vaseline, toothpaste, roll-on, socks, soap and a tooth brush to each person.

“My birthday was fulfilling and it was everything I could have wished for. I was able to give back to people of my community.”
