WATCH: One critically injured in minibus accident on Pretoria Road
The female driver was taken out of the vehicle through her vehicle’s boot with the assistance of community members.
Eight people were injured in a collision between a Toyota Quantum and Jeep on the corner of Pretoria and Link roads in Kaalfontein on Wednesday morning.
Among the eight injured, one person was reported to be in a critical condition.
The Jeep landed on its side and the female driver was taken out through her vehicle’s boot by community members. She was transported to hospital for medical attention.
The accident occurred around 8.30am but it is unclear what caused it.
According to reports from the scene, the 15-seater minibus taxi was travelling on Pretoria Road towards Kempton Park from Olifantsfontein while the Jeep was turning onto Link Road from Pretoria Road.
Some of the passengers in the minibus taxi were not injured and proceeded to work and various other destinations.
